Fun Facts

I love running! I have competed at the middle, high school, collegiate, and post colligate level as a cross country, track, and marathon runner. It is important to me to combine the highest pursuit of knowledge while also competing at the highest level of athletics. My experience as a team member both in the classroom and on the racecourse has forged my values and understanding that working collaboratively with others to reveal their unique talents is the key to success.

About Me

I am a senior year at the University of Colorado Boulder. I will major in political science and government. Between the two universities, I have attended I have a cumulative GPA of 3.85. I was recently awarded CU's Savit Schor award-recognizing-an outstanding student for designation on a positive impact in the arts and humanities- for my research into LGBTQ equality in CU NCAA sports. My goal is to study the intersection between neuroscience and Constitutional law at Stanford Law School.

Experience

As a legal researcher at the Office of the Alternate Defense Counsel, I have spent five years developing my human interaction skills to help clients and attorneys get the best results on their cases. My boss Jonathan Rosen tells me that a lawyer's job is to communicate. At the ADC it is my job to research complex topics in adolescent neuroscience and boil them down into concise and clear briefs for criminal justice professionals. I look forward to using these skills to help students flourish.

Approach

We are all brilliant. To actualize this brilliance, I believe that we need autonomy to follow our passions and support from others who want to open doors for us. I have been able to accel as a student, a professional, and an athlete because of the way I have been developed by the many mentors in my life. The most powerful thing these people have done for me is to say yes. Yes to who I am and yes to my dreams. I am so grateful for this and I deeply desire to give it to others as a tutor.
