Fun Facts
I have a brown freckle in my left eye. I love to sing (but am shy) and play the piano. My reason for being an educator is because I had an undiagnosed learning difference that was only diagnosed with the summer before my senior year of high school. The assistance I was provided help me to be a better student and in turn a better teacher!
About Me
I have been tutoring people of all ages starting at age 13. I knew I wanted to be an educator at 12 and a education/georgia/atlanta">special education teacher at 13. Teaching is one of my life's passions because as I struggled, I came to learn that others that struggling with learning disabilities can reach their highest potential with my help.
Experience
As stated above, I have been tutoring children, teens, and adults since I was 13. It is my goal and passion to help those that feel helpless be able to reach their full potential. Throughout college, I had internships in various elementary level classrooms using differential learning. I have a lot of experience working with people with significant developmental delays through a camp program and teaching.
Approach
In school, I was the "good girl." I had decent grades, always wanted to please the teachers by shy about asking for help. With my students, I provide them with a comfortable and safe environment in which they feel comfortable asking for help. I am kind but firm, yet am able to use my differentiated skills to help teach each child at their level.
