Fun Facts

I am currently studying to obtain an MD/PhD in pediatric infectious disease, immunology, and psychology. Along with this, I enjoy studying new topics not related to medicine such as learning a new language! I also enjoy training my mini Aussie how to herd ducks and chickens with my wife!

About Me

I obtained a BSc degree in Biochemistry from the University of the Incarnate Word with designated honors into two academic honor societies and recognized as an academic scholar and inducted into the American Chemical Society. I then have went on to obtain a Masters degree in Microbiology and Cell Science with a concentration focus in Medical Microbiology and Biochemistry. Along with this I have five years of professional working experience in diagnostic pathology. Currently studying for MD/PhD.

Experience

I started tutoring when I was in my freshmen second semester as an undergraduate student initially in general chemistry and human anatomy and physiology. A year later, I began my own tutoring business while still an undergraduate expanding my tutoring to fellow classmates in various math and science courses. Six years later, my tutoring business has now grown to provide tutoring in various math and science courses ranging from elementary to college level students and beyond.

Approach

All my sessions are tailored made to benefit the student to foster content mastery and understanding while bringing together independent curiosity. After an initial assessment of each student, I begin developing ways that will help each individual student learn in the most straightforward manner with little to no complex wording or phrasing. Along with this, each session I provide a PDF copy of my own personalized notes that can be used for by the student as study material and as a reference.
