Fun Facts
I really love being outdoors, doing anything from hiking to camping to rock climbing! I'm also a big reader, and will any downtime to continue a book. I play guitar, and I love to bake (though I'm not great at it). My current obsession is knitting, and I hope to get better at it this summer!
About Me
I am currently a sophomore at the University of Virginia, and I've made the Dean's List since arriving. In high school, I graduated with a 4.7 GPA, and received a 790 on the writing portion of the SAT. I'm studying Politics, and I hope to continue onto graduate school after completing college.
Experience
Through my Temple, I tutored elementary school kids in math once a week. I also taught at an art camp for two years, where I helped campers learn different skills and work effectively. I've also been a babysitter for years, which has come with a lot of tutoring practice when helping on homework or other assignments. Finally, I served as an editor on my high school paper, where I helped students improve their writing abilities and organizational skills.
Approach
I believe it's incredibly important to have a strong relationship with students as you're helping them learn. In the past, I've been my most successful when teachers or tutors clearly supported me, and believed in me. I plan to bring that type of learning environment to every tutoring session.
