About Me

I am a third year student at Georgia Institute of Technology. I am majoring in Biomedical Engineering. I have over 4 years of tutoring experience and love being an educator! My goal is to help inspire students learn and teach them to think outside the box!

Experience

I have learned how to teach and tutor at Georgia State's Academy for Future Teachers. I then used my knowledge from there to tutor students at Conti's Incredible Connection for 3 years. So far, we have had a 100% success rate for grade improvements for all of our students. I am also an educator at Numerade, an online tutoring site that helps students obtained detailed solutions to homework and textbook problems.

Approach

The way I approach teaching students concepts is by first creating analogies. I show the students how to understand a new topic by referring back to what they already know. Once they have a solid foundation of how the new topic is similar to what they have already learned, it is much easier for them to grasp and master difficult concepts. To me, the biggest roadblock to learning is underestimating how much you already know!
