Fun Facts
Heads are turning side-to-side, complete silence fills the air, and everything seems motionless as the yellow swirling ball crashes against the string of an old wooden racquet. The umpire shouts in a deep, rusty voice “Game, Set, and Match”! The crowd, my family, stands up and starts cheering. Tennis is my passion, and I've reached national and international levels throughout my life.
About Me
I am a junior at Drexel University, studying Mathematics and Business Administration. Currently, I have achieve a GPA of 3.37 and have been on the Dean's List twice. Besides academics, I'm the Career Committee Leader for a honors fraternity, an analyst for Drexel's Dragon Fund, and a volunteer for PAWS(an animal welfare society). Five years down the road, I would like to see myself starting a niche business.
During my junior year in high school I took a great opportunity to study abroad in India where I started a philadelphia">tutoring organization with my school for the local people. As a part of the philadelphia">tutoring organization we taught a variety of subjects ranging from science and math to accounting and finance. The children's ages varied from 6 to 18.
Less than 1% of the population has some form of eidetic memory, and I am not one of those 1%. Growing up I tried writing notes, reading chapters several times, and even used index cards to memorize information. Unfortunately, none of these were the best studying solutions for me. When it comes to learning, I believe it is important to visualize, talk, and experience. Visualizing in the sense of imagining situations; talking in the sense of communicating knowledge with other individuals whom obtain that knowledge; and experience in the sense of applying that knowledge to the real world whether it be by teaching, or by riding a bike.
