Fun Facts

I never grew up with video games, so I was very into sports as a child. Now that I'm older, I finally got more into video games, but still keep myself active.

About Me

I am a Master's Student at Weill Cornell Medical College in Manhattan. I plan on applying to PhD programs come fall to continue in either statistics or computational biology.

Experience

As a child, I spent a lot of time practicing martial arts. By the time I was done with middle school I reached a high enough rank to start teaching students of all ages. Beyond this, throughout undergrad I faced some of the most challenging curriculums I've ever studied, so my classmates and I would take turns teaching each other the material until we fully understood it. This practice continues today, through our machine learning reading group, where we will take turns teaching recent papers.

Approach

As a martial arts teacher, it's imperative to identify how students best learn and to support those methods in class. In curriculum based work, I pride myself at being able to identify the different ways that students learn and to adapt curriculum so that it is easier to digest knowledge. This paired with my honesty and cheery disposition render a positive environment for learning.
