Fun Facts
Back in college, I lead three student service organizations. One of which was Chords4Kids, a music group that performed for unique audiences such as the elderly in nursing homes and children in local hospitals. For the past few years, we held an annual fundraiser called "Songs for Sweeties" on Valentine's Day where students bought song-grams for someone special. My favorite moments were singing One Direction songs to unaware professors right in the middle of class :)!
About Me
I am a Class of 2020 graduate of Texas Christian University with degrees in both Biochemistry and Political Science. I graduated Magna Cum Laude and am a medical school hopeful. Starting in August, I will be serving as a COVID-19 Responder with the National Health Corps, helping to promote public health and build strong community ties.
Experience
Back in high school, I was an active tutor for AP Classes of all types, with a focus on the sciences and social studies. In college, I mentored through the GO College Access Center. I spent time sharing college advice and tutoring at five local high schools as a mentor and later ran the center as its President.
Approach
I am a versatile learner and understand that many different approaches can be taken to understand the same concept. I personally understand how learning is difficult in a fast-paced environment where individual misunderstandings and confusion are not addressed and hope to help my students understand the fundamentals while completing more advanced coursework.
