Fun Facts
I've always been full of energy. Growing up, I was that rough girl who played football with the boys and wanted to climb the riskiest trees. I feel that passion to be child-like resonates in me. To this day, that yearning for adventure and joy keeps me at peace. I also look at cultures so I'm conversational in Spanish and ESL.
About Me
First and foremost, I am a mother of two. Rylee, my smart 7-year-old is the one who ignited my love to teach. I also have a 4-year-old named Roman who is loving and very energetic. These two are my main reasons for everything in life. I have a strong passion for children on the Spectrum and I'm currently a Registered Behavior Technician.
Experience
In school, I was always competitive academically and physically. I was able to balance National Honor Society and AP English and Math while playing Varsity Track, Volleyball, and Diving. In college, I cheered at Texas A&M- Kingsville for 2 years then returned home to graduate with my associate of arts from Lonestar College.
Approach
Throughout all of my years working with children, I've learned that every child learns differently Because of this, I like to teach in my natural environment. For instance, if I'm teaching a child to count, we would count the cars outside. I also like to encourage my children with positive reinforcement. Trusting in each other is a great way to build rapport and lean on each other during difficult tasks.
