I have a passion for helping others learn and overcome any challenge or challenges. A fun fact about me, I was in a scene of The Oval. I tutored students who were SLD in reading and helped them learn strategies to read and to improve their reading comprehension. I have also tutored students with basic math, Spanish, study skills and writing, astronomy, and science.

About Me

I have nine years of experience tutoring students and teaching. I have three years in Education encompassing Multi-Intelligence Methods of Teaching, and know each person has different learning styles. I am continuing my education in the fall.

Experience

I have nine years of experience tutoring students in basic math and Spanish, reading, reading comprehension, study skills, GED Prep, elementary science and writing, I tutored students who were SLD in reading and helped them learn strategies to read and to improve their reading comprehension. I have also tutored students with basic math, Spanish, study skills and writing, astronomy, and science.

Approach

Having a son who was SLD in reading, I learned how to teach him and other students how to read and with reading comprehension and use Multi-Intelligence Methods of Teaching. I use positive encouragement and positive persistence to help students succeed. I feel it is my responsibility to not only teach them the content, but study skills that will help them be successful in all classes!
