Fun Facts

The first thing that people know about me is that I love my sweet cat, Furari. I love to spend all of my free time hanging out with him! I'm also a member of the UGA Redcoat marching band. But my favorite thing to do is teach anybody I meet about my favorite subjects: math, music, and language arts. I grew up and Georgia and hope to get to travel to Scotland after I graduate from UGA!

About Me

I am a senior middle grades education major at the University of Georgia and have been on the Dean's List for four semesters in a row! When I graduate, I hope to start teaching middle school math in Georgia and pursue a masters degree as well.

Experience

Starting in high school, I would tutor elementary school kids in their math and language arts homework because I've wanted to be a teacher since I was young. My mom, who is also a teacher, mentored me to make sure that going into college I was set up for success in education. Since being at UGA, I've tutored various students around Athens and in the schools that I've been teaching in as well. Working for Frog Tutoring gives me the opportunity to continue becoming a better teacher!

Approach

I have always believed that everybody can succeed in school with the proper tools. There are many different ways for students to learn without me giving them the answers to their questions. Through the use of videos, readings, and other presentation forms, students can learn the way that helps them succeed. As a tutor and a future teacher, I know that my students learn best when the teacher supports the student with guided learning.
