About Me
I was born in New York and raised in Houston, TX. I graduated from the University of Texas-Austin with a degree in math. I have been teaching in the Austin area for 5 years. My ultimate goal is to become a math instructional coach or administrator.
I have tutored in various levels of math including: Math TAKS (all high school grades and exit-level), SAT/math/texas/austin">ACT Math, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and Trigonometry. I have also prepped students for the STAAR exams (middle school, Algebra 1, and Geometry).
As a austin">tutor, I believe it's important that students understand the mathematical process for solving math problems. My approach to teaching involves demonstrating various examples and then allowing students to practice themselves. I believe it's important that students be able to challenge themselves by critically thinking and I monitor and facilitate their learning.
