I have the same birthday as Harry Potter! Ed Sheeran played a concert at my high school because we won a coat drive. I do improv comedy and one day hope to do drama therapy with kids!

About Me

I am a first year graduate student at Yeshiva University's Ferkfauf Graduate School of Psychology studying for my doctorate in School-Clinical Child Psychology. When I graduate, I hope to work with individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.

Experience

I was a camp counselor for 3 summers at a camp for kids on the autism spectrum so I have lots of experience with kids. I tutored for one year with first, second, and third grade students in a Boston public school and I was a one-to-one learning assistant last year for a 5th grader with special needs in a public school.

Approach

I take the approach of caring for the whole student with my tutoring. I believe that the social and emotional skills that go along with learning are just as important as the content itself. In school, especially in recent times, students have a lot going on and need to be met where they're at and need to be shown how they can be successful even on a day where they don't feel like they're at their best. I feel that children are most successful when they feel capable and confident in their work.
