Fun Facts
I love to mentor and inspire people around me to be their best and explore their God-given talents/gifts. I am the eldest of four siblings. I enjoy rollerskating, cooking and learning different cultures and languages.
About Me
I am a doctoral student at Morehouse School of Medicine and I am investigating the pharmacogenomics of IV rtPA in African American women who suffer stroke. My ultimate goal is to become a Principal Investigator in the Translational Research field to study cardiovascular diseases and cancer.
Experience
As a member of the Georgia CSO Leadership Coach Program, I have the privilege to mentor high school students. Through this program, I am able to help students achieve their goals of success in school projects, college prep and etc... In the past, I have tutored college-level students in addition to teaching them in various science-based subjects.
Approach
My upbringing was often met with challenges in my ability to learn like other students. I myself have always reached out for help from tutors and teachers when needed. I want to ensure that future generations are not ashamed of seeking help and that they are receiving the kind of help they need to be their best selves.
