About Me

Hello, my name is Akosua Yeboah and I’m from Ghana West Africa. I’m a college student. I go to maryland">University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) and I am currently a sophomore. I have been tutoring since high School. I was a part of the Honor Society in my school and part of our job was to tutor students twice a week. I have tutored students from math to English, communication to test prep and just mentoring young people who are in ESOL.

Experience

For the last four years, I've had the opportunity to tutor students in my local High school. I was a part of the National Honor Society in my high school and I had the pleasure of teaching my schoolmates twice a week in whatever area they needed help with. I've had the pleasure of mentoring and tutoring Esol students who were in my local High school. I've tutored some relatives and family friends over years and I've had the pleasure of seeing them grow and becoming great independent students.

Approach

My approach style various depending on the student I'm working with. I study the student to see their strength and weakness; what they already know and what need help with. Then I develop a positive studying environment where I encouragement them to be themselves, try solving/answering problems and encourage communication. I learn the different ways i can motivate the student to learn so they can be successful.
