One passion people quickly learn about me is that I LOVE math! I always had a passion for numbers and how I can use them to solve problems. I also enjoy helping people as well. I strive to help people in my community and to be a service to all. I will be the change that I want to see in the world

About Me

I am a junior mathematics major at thee Jackson State University. I have been on the Dean's list every semester since I have been enrolled. I am also apart of the Dubois Harvey Honors College. As a first-generation college student, I strive to become a role model to show that it is possible to obtain a degree no matter your background.

Experience

As a member and Vice President of the Dubois Harvey Honors College's Honors Council, I had the opportunity to share my gifts in mathematics. I volunteer in tutoring middle school and college students through various community programs. I enjoy helping others and seeing their growth in math. It brings me joy to see that I am making an impact.

Approach

As a child, I knew that people like me were not expected to achieve great things when it comes to education. I was fortunate enough to have a great support system that helped me become the scholar I am today. As a tutor, I showcase this attitude that you can do anything you put your mind too. A math problem might seem hard now but with practice and perseverance, the task will be mastered.
