I am a HUGE dog-lover! The best part about walking my dog is being able to greet other fellow dog-walkers -- it is a great excuse to talk to people I normally wouldn't, and also or course to meet new dogs!

About Me

I am a freshman at American University (located in DC), with an intended major of communications: journalism. I am currently taking classes online, and my ultimate goal is to pursue a career in journalism or education.

Experience

In high school, I tutored some classmates in Spanish on a case-by-case, occasional basis. Now that I am in college, I am eager to get more involved in tutoring again because I am very passionate about academics!

Approach

In middle and high school, I was lucky enough to have teachers who sought to educate the whole person, academically and emotionally. As a tutor, I hope to carry out a similar philosophy. I feel it is my responsibility to teach not only the content, but to help students realize and recognize their own true potential.
