Fun Facts
I love the great outdoors, I am very outgoing. I can possibly provide a fun fact about any given topic (I have a ton of random knowledge) I enjoy exercising and playing video games. I love to learn new things and enjoy building and putting things together whether it be model cars or a new piece of furniture.
About Me
I have studied Pre Med Bio at Winston-Salem State University. Throughout my tenure I actively participated in AROTC. I am well versed in the basics of Biology and the Anatomy of the human body. I have previously been CNA certified. I am an advocate of holistic health and preventative care. I am also enrolled in an EMT/Paramedic course to earn my certification in thus said. In the near future I plan to join the service and further my skill set.
Experience
Being a Biology major with a concentration in Pre-Medical studies, it was vital that we not only learn the material for retention, but also have the capability to teach that same material in more so of laymen terms for not only my peers, but for younger scholars as well. I have done volunteer work with local elementary schools teaching them basic lab procedures and experiments. The main goal was to spark an interest in STEM studies and allow the scholars to get a steady hands on experience.
Approach
As a child, I loved learning the activities that were fun and engaging. Unfortunately, as I progressed in academics the lessons became more of task to learn and were not enjoyable. I feel as though learning shouldn't feel like a task or a chore but more of making connections with what we already know and applying it to what we need to learn. I believe that having the proper study skills could make learning not only fun but easier and less of a task.
