Fun Facts

I have lived in four different countries in my lifetime on three different continents. Since I was young, I've enjoyed traveling. I also became a huge sports fan growing up and love to play and watch sports - especially teams from Cleveland, where I grew up!

About Me

I am a former math teacher who is now helping students on a 1-1 basis. I used to teach various math subjects, and coached football and baseball. I now work as a real estate agent in Denver.

Experience

As a math teacher of 5 years in the Chicago Public School system, I taught various math subjects. I also would tutor students after school when students needed help with their math homework. I was better able to help students improve their math skills in this setting, which is why I continue to tutor to this day!

Approach

As a teacher, what I enjoyed most was connecting with my students. I think once students have a rapport with a tutor and know that they can trust them it makes it a lot easier to focus on content and skills. While subject matter is important, I think student success also hinges on how to approach math and how to develop constructive habits. The end goal of tutoring is for students to become successful independent math learners.
