Fun Facts

I have a passion for football. I played Linebacker in high school until I tore my ACL my junior and senior year. I am a student of the game and love watching college football. I enjoy examining the strategies of both sides. After college I plan to move to Denver, Colorado and live in the mountains.

About Me

I am working on my second semester of undergrad at Rose State College. I have not yet declared a major, however I plan to major in biochemistry or theoretical physics. I hope to one day be a forensic biochemist, or physics professor.

Experience

Though I have no formal experience tutoring, I have always been ahead of the learning curve. Fellow classmates and friends have always reached out to me for assistance with their coursework, and always have a better understanding of the subject matter after I explain it to them.

Approach

Throughout school, especially high school, I found most classes boring. I had trouble paying attention in class, and found that in the majority of cases, I was learning fun facts about the subject I was learning instead of having to do critical thinking. As a tutor, I will attempt to make my lessons fun and interactive, as well as involve critical thinking skills to help the student truly understand what they are learning, as opposed to exercising their short-term memorization tactics.
