Fun Facts

A fun fact about me is that I played in a band since elementary school. I love listening to music, dancing and sometimes even singing. In the mornings, I take a walk and play soccer or basketball. My favorite foods are fruit salads, chips with queso, and hamburgers.

About Me

I am a junior English major at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. I am also a member of FAMU's Literary Guild. When I graduate, I hope to become a writer and an editor.

Experience

As someone who had to step away from school for at time, I know how difficult learning new concepts can be. A mother of two, I teach my children foundational principles in various subjects daily. I have found that while sometimes the material can be confusing, most times the way the subject is taught may not fit the student's learning style.

Approach

To help the pupil understand the material, I will use a system that I use when studying. For the first step, I will work with the student to help reteach the material we are covering. Then, I will do an activity or show a video to give a hands-on active lesson. Finally, I will provide additional resources that the student can work on independently. I highly recommend learning or reviewing good study and organization habits so the student will have a clear mind while studying course material.
