Fun Facts
I am a complete travel enthusiast! I fell in love with traveling and the experience of indulging into different cultures my junior year of college when I studied abroad in Rome, Italy! It was a fascinating experience that not only broadened my horizons of what I think I can accomplish but also an experience that allowed me to embrace so much personal growth. This study abroad experience also made me fall in love with the art of cooking! I love trying new recipes and expanding my palette.
About Me
I am a 1L Law student at the University of the District of Columbia, David A. Clarke School of Law. I have always dreamed of being an immigration & criminal defense attorney. Prior to UDC, I earned my science/maryland/baltimore">Political Science Bachelor's degree at the maryland">University of Maryland, College Park, with a minor in Spanish Language & Culture.
Experience
I started tutoring when I was 14, I would tutor elementary school kids. Now, I tutor kids of ages 3-20. If I didn't want to be a lawyer then I would have been a teacher because I have always loved helping others learn and enriching their learning with patience and dedication.
Approach
Growing up, I always felt that it was more difficult for me to concentrate and not lose my focus. It was easier to procrastinate on the tasks where I felt challenged. After learning more about ADD/ADHD, I was able to approach my learning more confident and apply new techniques that I learned would help. As a tutor, I strive to help my students learn with patience and dedication. Everyone learns differently and I always want my students to feel comfortable asking me any questions on the material.
