I love band and was on drumline in high school. I almost committed to doing marching band in college. I love music and also play the piano in addition to other percussion instruments.

About Me

I graduated from the University of Alabama in 2019 with honors and a degree in psychology on the pre med track. I completed my masters in biomedical and health sciences from UAB in May 2020. I am currently in a gap year before medical school. My ultimate goal is to become a child and adolescent psychiatrist.

Experience

I have helped with tutoring since I was in high school. I have worked with multiple camps as a tutor/mentor. These camps include the Health Careers Opportunities Program and Summer Health Professions Education Program. I have also helped tutor peers in many subjects throughout out my undergraduate career. This past year, while completing my masters, I was a tutor for 4 children ranging from kindergarten to middle school.

Approach

I did well in school but also struggled with test taking. So I am very empathetic to all learners and welcome a tutor-client relationship that emphasizes each student becoming an advocate for themselves! If given the opportunity to tutor, I would allow the student to text, email, or call whenever homework help is needed and be willing to work around their schedule to ensure academic success.
