Fun Facts
I read fiction often, and write it when inspiration strikes. I also participate in activism for racial equality and equity, LGBTQ+ causes, and women's rights. A few months ago, I adopted my rescue dog and love to spend time with him as well - if I tutor you over video, he might make a cameo in the background!
About Me
I'm just like you: a student, a pre-law hopeful, or both! I'm studying Law, Politics and Society at Drake University with a minor in writing. I'm preparing my applications to top schools, and want to help others in their own admissions journey. My friends will tell you I'm the one they go to when they need any help with essays, test prep and college applications. Tutoring has become a big passion of mine, but my ultimate goal is to work in civil rights and advocate for equity under the law.
Experience
I have been a professional LSAT tutor since August and am passionate about helping my students excel on their exam. I'm well-organized, focused and diligent about exploring concepts with diverse strategies to maximize student understanding. I am particularly skilled in Analytical Reasoning. I have an FLEX score of 170 on official record and have taken most of the practice tests available, for which I average a 176 score.
Approach
I can empathize with any test-taking anxiety, and am specially situated to help you work through it and gain the confidence needed to ace your exam. I'm personable, responsive to feedback and ready to adapt to whatever learning style you're most comfortable with. I never back down from a challenge because in the end, it's so rewarding helping others succeed.
