A few things that I enjoy are writing, drawing, painting, culinary arts, and playing basketball. To be exact, cooking is my passion. I also am a co CEO for a small owned couture business named So Glossy Couture and Customs.

About Me

I am a sophomore at Alabama A&M University studying Business Management, Marketing, and Administration. I am 19 years old and I have Type 1 Diabetes. My goals are to pursue a career in business and open up my very own restaurant specifically for to make food more comforting, but not health-threatening to those who have auto-immune disease such as my own. It will also accommodate those who simply want to diet, but think diet-like food has to be repulsive. I got into tutoring about 3 years ago. I started off tutoring my own three siblings, then peers at the high school I graduated from. I decided then on that tutoring was something I wanted to do on the side of business because I wanted to extend my services to more children or adults who needed the help. My tutoring approach is making a connection with student’s, get insight on their strengths and weaknesses are and what they do and don’t understand and that gives me more insight as to how I need to help.

Experience

As a peer counselor at a former summer camp job, I had the opportunity to tutor students that needed it. Also, as a former dual enrollment (Early College) student at the high school I graduated from, I had the same opportunity as well. My experience in education has molded me to be a positive leader, which I believe is core in children's education.

Approach

I struggled very much throughout my school years, as I got older I learned more. I was always afraid to speak up in class, or after class, and I never had teachers who would take the time out to sit down with me; but instead I would just get put on the spot in front of everyone.My approach to my students would allow them to avoid doing this. I provide positive encouragement and support, and in sessions I will do and be as such. I will do my best to bring out in students their very
