Fun Facts

One of my favorite hobbies is painting! I've recently become fascinated with calligraphy style paintings and have made a few pieces that I am really proud of. I also love taking walks with my family and playing board games with friends.

About Me

I graduated from CU Denver with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology in May of 2019. I am currently back in school pursuing a post baccalaureate certificate (Allied and Professional Health Sciences Certificate) and applied to dental school this past summer.

Experience

I volunteer as a Farsi teacher to children ages 4-9 and develop weekly lesson plans to improve the students’ reading, writing, and conversational abilities. I also have experience working with 2nd and 3rd graders as a Teacher Aide at Girls Inc of Denver Metro from 2014-2015. All throughout college I also worked in a nursery/daycare during church services where I created short lessons and activities for the children ages 5-12.

Approach

As I tutor, I want to ensure that my students are confident in their own ability and do not lose their self esteem. I believe it is incredibly important to always be patient with the student and encourage them to continue trying even when they want to give up. I also think it is important to teach students how to study. If a student does not have the proper tools and understanding on how to best learn the material, it won't matter how many hours they spend attempting to memorize the information.
