I have been vegetarian for the past three years. I love spending time in the outdoors by going running, hiking, and camping. On my free time I like to hang out with my friends, watch movies, and relax.

About Me

I am a fourth year Biochemistry major Environmental Engineering Minor at UCLA. When I graduate I hope to take a year off and travel; however, my career goals are to go into law and become a Food Law attorney.

For the past three years I have been working with a tutoring company called VOALA Cyber tutoring. I have been fortunate enough to work with kids from underprivileged backgrounds in subjects such as English, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Math. During my sophomore year, I also volunteered for a non-profit tutoring organization called 826LA where I was able to aid students with their reading and writing abilities.

Throughout my schooling, I had always found it frustrating that many of the teachers that I had couldn’t find a way to make the dull material more enjoyable. Over the past several years that I have been a tutor, I have tried to make the material that I am teaching more relatable to the student’s daily life so that the difficult concepts are much more comprehensible. Furthermore, when tutoring a student I help guide them to the answer rather than just giving it to them. I ask questions to make the student really think about the concept and understand it.
