About Me
I am a sophomore at memphis">University of Memphis studying Philosophy, Economics, and Criminal Justice, but I plan on majoring in Psychology and English. I attended Indiana University for my freshman year and studied Arabic and Childhood Language Development. Basically, I have many interests and hope to find something that I love to do as a career, but I know that it will relate to helping people because that has been a constant interest throughout my life.
Throughout my high school career at St. Mary’s Episcopal School, I had the opportunity to volunteer at Memphis’ local Streets Ministries as a memphis">tutor and mentor to elementary school students. I also mentored students at Memphis City Schools, such as South Park Elementary. In addition to that, I have been involved with students of all ages and backgrounds as a mentor and memphis">tutor on an individual basis. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue memphis">tutoring students through Frog memphis">Tutoring.
When memphis">tutoring, I think it is important to gain the student’s trust and to maintain a schedule. I try to guide the student through the material without revealing answers, and to help the student gain confidence in his or her success. Overall, I attempt to bring a positive, engaging attitude to the session and to teach the student study skills that will aid him or her in other subject areas.
