Fun Facts

I love to practice yoga and engage in other physical activites such as rollerblading and swimming. I also love to sing and dane, in fact I attended a performing arts school in New York City after high school and even pursued my dream of acting for six years in Los Angeles, CA. Needless to say I have a passion for music, theater, film, television and dance.

About Me

I am currently obtaining my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I have maintained a high GPA, and have gained keen insight into the art of pedagogy through many hours of field experience in various Elementary Schools throughout Miami Dade County. My internship will be next spring 2015. After I graduate I plan on obtaining my Master's Degree in Reading Education.

I have had the opportunity to miami">tutor during my field experience. I have worked with students on various subjects one on one. These subjects include, math-elementary/florida/miami">elementary math, reading and writing. I would be honored to have the opportunity to work with students who need assistance because I would be engaged in the art of teaching which is a very rewarding experience.

As a student I find that I retain information better when I am engaged in discovery learning. In which I am given the tools to find the answers, instead of only rote memorization. As a miami">tutor I will use a variety of approaches to teaching the information in order to create an individualized approach to miami">tutoring each student depending on what works best for them. This will not only give students better study skills for their future as students, but also help them achieve higher scores in thier current classes.
