About Me
I'm a grad student at the University of Arizona pursing a PhD in Physics. My research is on searching for new particles at the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland. Once I finish my PhD, I plan on working in data science.
My teaching experience includes teaching laboratory classes in electronics and scientific computing. As a graduate student, I have had the responsibility of running a tucson">tutor room for 1 hour every week in the Physics Department. I have also privately tutored three undergraduate students on subjects ranging from Introductory Physics to science/arizona/tucson">Computer Science. I look forward to working with new students at FrogTutoring.
My tucson">tutoring strategy is focused on problem solving. The basis of physics and math problems is to identify a particular algorithm for getting from point A to point B in the problem. Instead of diving head first into a problem, one needs to first identify what is known, what are the unknown variables, and what ultimately needs to be calculated. I like to focus on these problem solving techniques, to break a problem down to its fundamentals to identify what principles to use and then apply them to find the solution.
