I am a AP Scholar which means I have passed 3 or more AP test with a score of 3 or higher. I am a double major in college. I graduated high school with a 3.6 GPA. I love to swim; I was on several swim teams for approximately a decade before college.

About Me

I am a freshman Pre-Med Biology and Psychology at Philander Smith College. I am a Presidential Scholar which means that I am on a full ride at my school. After undergraduate school I plan to attend a medical research institution to complete my doctorate degree and later become either a Pediatric Oncologist or a Child Psychiatrist.

Experience

I have been tutoring for about 2 years with local programs. I took a short break due to the pandemic but after realizing how many students need help with virtual learning I quickly found my passion again. I was introduced to Frog tutoring through another student at my school and I was very appreciative for the opportunity to help others.

Approach

My tutoring approach is dependent on each child's learning style so I can better help them understand the material. In my experiences as a tutor I learn that most students learn more when the material is broken down or explained in a way they can relate to (for example athletes relate to problems in sports terms, Math people usually need to be able to write out the problem step by step, English people usually need repetition.) I also focus more on learning more than memorizing.
