Fun Facts

~ I love cooking! One of my favorite things to make is soup and I love growing my own ingredients.
~ I love reading and writing in my spare time.
~ I'm very passionate about science, social equity, and access to higher education for all. In my previous jobs, I felt most fulfilled when I could tap into the hope I have for social change.
~ My favorite colors are green, lavender, light blue, and light pink.

About Me

This past spring, I graduated Santa Clara University with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology and I plan on either completing a graduate program and/or attending medical school. In the meantime, I'm hoping to get back into tutoring, as it's always been fulfilling and energizing for me. I truly love science and wish to inspire a love of science in others as well!

Experience

I've tutored all ages and grades in a variety of subjects throughout high school and college. While I am impartial to science, I also greatly enjoy helping students with math, history, reading/writing, Spanish, and Farsi.

Approach

I know that good educators can make all the difference to a child who may be struggling or disinterested — I often found myself failing to connect with topics, concepts, or entire disciplines because of an ineffective teacher. In hindsight, I realized that the subjects I now love were taught by compassionate and capable educators. I honor their positive influences on me by continuing to foster a love of learning in my own tutees. :)
