Fun Facts

The one attribute that stands to people when they meet me is my ability to speak about many topics. I am one of those persons that can speak all day about whatever a person is interested in. I can talk about sports, automobiles, cooking, gardening, laws, different states and countries, and history of the world. That's only a few topics I can speak on now, but once you get to know me you'll soon find an interesting person.

About Me

I am a senior at California State University Long Beach. I have been on the Dean's list four times from community college to the university level. When I graduate I am going to apply for a Master's Degree in Urban and City Planning. My ultimate goal is to become a professor in the areas of politics, history, and mathematics.

Experience

While attending community college I took algebra, college algebra, and statistics and in each one of those I was able to tutor a few classmates of mine who did not understand the concepts. Transitioning into the university level I decided to major in political science and there I offered students help with understanding theories and the systems of government which control our lives.

Approach

I used to struggle with Math when I was in high school, I basically would obtain "C" grades in all my math courses, but that all changed once I began to apply myself in college. I began to understand what hard work and determination meant when applying it to school work. As a tutor I expect to bring my hard work and winning attitude to help students accomplish their goals of succeeding. I know it is my responsibility to teach students efficient study skills that will aid them in any school work.
