In my spare time, I enjoy playing and studying the guitar. I am also an avid bicyclist, and I like playing tennis during the warm weather months.

About Me

I am a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. My major was Spanish, and my minor was Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL).

Experience

While attending NEIU, I worked as an ESL tutor for a year at the Albany Park Community Center. I was a substitute teacher with Chicago Public Schools from 2017 - 2019, where I taught in bilingual (Spanish/English), regular and education/florida/orlando">special education classrooms. I have been an online ESL/EFL teacher since 2019.

Approach

I believe that a teacher should establish a positive, caring classroom environment that fosters self-confidence and motivates students to learn. I try to maintain a student-centered approach to teaching that focuses on individual learning styles and allows each student to develop to their greatest potential.
