I love to read!! I am always reading something although in my slumps I might not finish. I am always willing to give a book recommendation. I am a middle child and the only girl. I love traveling and can always have a random fun fact ready for any occasion. want to know about Octupus legs? I got you!!!

About Me

I graduated from Clarion University for Secondary Social studies in 2018. I am certified to teach History from 7-12th grade. I wish to became a full time teacher, but have currently been subbing at schools in the area.

Experience

I tutored kids all through my school career. It is actually what made me want to be a teacher and to learn the science behind teaching as well as creative ways to help people learn. I continue to help students while subbing to understand the topics the teacher wants them to learn and find it very fulfulling. I wish to continue that while schools are currenlty working remote and students need the help more than ever before.

Approach

I find students are not unwilling to do the work, they just haven't had it explained to them in a way that helps them understand. I try to make sure when I look at any subject a student is working on to find 2 ways to do it so that I can explain both to the student. They then choose what they prefer. I make sure I go through my thought process so students don't just see me giving them the ways, but how I came up with them so they can utilize the critical thinking skills to solve other problems.
