My name is Dandan. Since a lot of people cannot pronounce it right, I gave myself a English name, Michelle. I am a Chinese girl, so I can read, write, and speak Chinese fluently. Also, I like to communicate with people from different regions. It is interesting to learn different cultures.

About Me

I am a junior at the memphis">University of Memphis. I am majoring in Mathematical Science. Since I am a Chinese girl, I have Chinese as my minor. My overall GPA is 3.9, and my major GPA is 4.0. I plan to get my master degree after I get my bachelor's degree.

I have memphis">tutoring experiences in several public schools. I am a member of Tigers Teach Program. The program offered my variety of opportunities to memphis">tutor students. Since my major is math, most of my memphis">tutoring experiences are relate to math subjects. I memphis">tutor students with homework and assignments. Since I am a member of Tigers Teach Program, I need to observe and teach in a public school each semester. I write my own lesson plans and teach three lessons in a local school each semester. memphis">Tutoring experience:

My philosophy of education is that let the students to discover the world rather than lead the students to discover the world that we have discovered already. As a memphis">tutor, if a student come to me with a problem, I will ask the student give me as much information as he or she knows from the problem at first. I will then find out which part of the problem lost the student. Instead of work out the problem for the student, I prefer to work with the student and find out where the student get lost, so that the student can understand the problem truly.
