Fun Facts
I am very active; I love to workout, play soccer, and practice yoga! I have an 8-month-old puppy named Bamba. I read about 1 book per week, mostly nonfiction. My favorite games to play are Super Smash Bros and backgammon. And I drink so much coffee that I consider it a hobby.
About Me
I have lived in Texas for virtually my entire life. In 2018, I graduated with a Bachelor's in psychology from The University of Texas at Austin, where I met my wife. I will be attending medical school at Nova Southeastern University in South Florida in the Fall of 2021. I am thrilled to start this next chapter of my life and ultimately become a physician for my community.
Experience
While in college I was a tutor for a traditionally difficult biology course. I was trained to create unique interactive lesson plans and promote effective learning strategies for my peers. Afterwards, I was inspired to enroll in an education course in which I delved further into the differences in individual learning styles and was given the valuable opportunity to teach science at the local Elementary school. I am eager to continue to academically support others with Frog tutoring.
Approach
Each individual is unique, and thus, everyone has different learning needs. One of my goals will be to help students realize their own unique learning style. Personally, I was not someone who was able to make A's without significant effort, so I understand what it's like to need some extra help. I will use the same strategies that I've learned from previous experiences to encourage students to become self-motivated and resourceful in order to further their education.
