About Me
I am a 19 year old junior at Virginia Commonwealth University. I am a Biology major with a minor in Chemistry. I have only been at VCU for 2 years however, I am about three semesters ahead in credits which classify me as a junior. I was apart of the early college program so, I went to TNCC during my high school career. I also became a certified pharmacy technician during high school. When, I graduate from VCU I want to attend John Hopkins Medical school to become a MFM specialist.
Experience
As a volunteer at a daycare I had the opportunity to assist elementary students with homework in all subjects. Being an advanced student I also was able to help tutor students in lower grades than me once I entered the fourth grade. I have three autistic brother and two of them have learning disabilities which whom I have helped with all subjects as well.
Approach
Growing up with siblings with learning disabilities as well as volunteering with some I have seen the trail and errors of many educators. I Have seen the effects of patients and persistence with many students and how a goal can be easily achieved when the assistant truly cares. As a tutor I attempt to bring fourth not only success in education but, a new passion of learning to student by incorporating their passions. I also will provide them with studying skills for long term success.
