Fun Facts

I used to be bad at math in high school, but I decided to major in my worst subject in college, and math turned out to be quite interesting. I am currently learning "In the mood for love" by Julie London in addition to other songs on guitar. I also play the piano and trumpet. I hope to perform in the NYC subway one day.

About Me

I am a recent graduate of Binghamton University. I am waiting to hear back from my graduate school applications. I applied to statistics, data science, and financial mathematics majors. I want to eventually work as a data scientist, a statistician in research, or on wall street.

Experience

I tutored piano every Friday to a middle schooler while in high school. In college, I briefly tutored for an introductory statistics class every other day to two college athletes over the summer. Last semester, I also served as a TA for an introductory R programming class.

Approach

I definitely understand the struggles of my students. I feel like since I struggled my way up, I know the questions my students could have. For example, I try to give students a top-down view of the concepts before breaking them down, since whilst learning the concepts, I always felt like It would help if I knew the bigger picture. I also love to see when a student finally gets a concept.
