A passion of mine is travel. So far I have traveled in Europe and the Middle East with over 22 stamps on my passport. Beyond that I enjoy reading historical fiction and spending time with my Highschool aged niece and nephew.

About Me

I just graduated from the pittsburgh">University of Pittsburgh School of Law with a Juris Doctorate. I previously obtained my BA in History with a certificate in conflict resolution in the Middle East. I have plans to work in Human Rights.

Experience

In college I participated in several clubs that tutored local high school teens in the Pittsburgh Area as well as as an international refugee tutoring program. I also helped several international students studied and prepare for the TOEFL exam as part of my work in the Arabic department at Pitt. I also spent 3 years teaching swim lessons to ages infant to adult at the JCC in Pittsburgh. While not academic teaching it was through swim lessons that I discovered my love of teaching.

Approach

When I was in fifth grade I hade a social studies teacher who greatly impacted my life. I had been struggling with finding any sort of passion for school. It was through his extra help outside of the classroom where I discovered my passion for history through his passion. I have carried that with my for the last 15 years and hope to be able to encourage not only that passion but the unconditional support that I felt from that teacher.
