Fun Facts
If there's one thing I love as much as biology, it' singing. I've been in choir my entire life, and am a huge a cappella nerd. I also have a small obsession with cooking, and have been practicing cooking menus for my family since COVID started. I love playing video games like league of legends and undertale in my free time.
About Me
I am an undergraduate junior studying Bioengineering at Stanford University. I plan on getting my PhD in Genetics or Bioengineering, with goals to have my own research lab one day.
Experience
I began tutoring when I was in high school, working for a local tutoring company. I worked with Elementary and Middle School students, teaching math, science, study skills, and week long classes on a variety of subjects. I also worked as a science camp counselor for elementary school students. Upon entering college, I continued my work as a tutor during the summer after my freshman year. I am currently a Mentor for High School Students through the Stanford iGEM Mentorship program I helped create
Approach
I've been working with students for several years now. I find that because I am still a student myself, I am able to relate to kids, understanding their thoughts and struggles better. It is important to always have a positive, fun attitude, and acknowledge that every student is unique. I am very flexible and cater my teaching styles to the needs of every individual student. I want to provide them with lifelong skills that will help them through all of their classes and challenges
