I have been playing music from a young age. I took piano lessons for many years before switching to the guitar when I was 12. I also enjoy skiing, scuba diving, and running in my spare time.
About Me
I am beginning my masters in Financial Engineering at maryland/columbia">columbia">maryland/columbia">Columbia in the fall. Currently I am interning at an equity trading firm in manhattan. At Fordham I was a pre-med mathematics major. After graduation I entered a post-baccalaureate program in statistics and science/new-york/new-york">computer science at maryland/columbia">columbia">maryland/columbia">Columbia. I hope to find a position in algorithmic trading after finishing my masters next year.
I have been tutoring since my junior year at Fordham. I was a teacher's assistant for calculus, finite mathematics, and discrete mathematics. Additionally, I worked in the math help room answering a variety of questions. I also worked in Fordham's tutoring service helping students in calculus and physics. Privately I have tutored geometry, statistics, and algebra, working with students ranging from middle school to college .
I generally try to focus on key theorems and concepts from each chapter. I discuss and explain them with the student, providing examples and asking questions along the way. After I like to test the student with exercises, helping them as little as possible. In some cases I have assigned review work to students to reinforce concepts each week.
