Fun Facts

I love playing with colors. I love being crafty. I kinda exploit the limit library has set for checked out materials almost every time. (I love reading ). I love exploring our backyard trails, DC museums and small businesses around the area. I love traveling to places and leaning about customs, cultures and uniqueness of the regions . I try to incorporate these global lessons into my teaching - to my own kids and my students :)

About Me

I work as faculty at a local community college for their Information Technology and science/virginia/reston">Computer Science department. I have BE with IT major and MS with CS major as an academic background. I have worked as a software developer and consultant right after graduation for a few years. I enjoy helping students and individuals in their academic and career pursuits.

Experience

I am a faculty at a local community college in VA for IT and CS departments. I have tutored undergrad student athletes at GWU for various math, Sciences, Business and Language classes. I also have worked at a Gifted Middle School in the area teaching Physics, Chemistry, various math levels and CS classes. I have experience with elementary students in the classroom set-up as well. All this while I have tutored students ranging from PreS to undergrad level.

Approach

I prefer to get the assessment of the student in the beginning , so as to know where exactly he would need help. And then to figure out his /her comfort and challenge areas in the subject. According to this , I devise a rough lesson plan for the duration a student intend to work with me .I am very flexible and open to take in parents' suggestions and concerns, student's requirement , curriculum demands to weave in while planning the reston">tutoring sessions.
