Fun Facts

I absolutely love the weather in San Diego! I am an active woman and enjoy lots of outdoor adventure time! I especially enjoy surfing, hiking and cycling with my family! I'm also an avid runner. I've completed 14 marathons and numerous half marathons, 5ks and 10ks. When I need some rest, nothing beats cuddling up with a good book!

About Me

I currently substitute teach at various schools serving kindergarten through eighth grade. I just finished my masters degree in teaching this summer and eventually hope to be working full time in an elementary or middle school.

I have been teaching children for fifteen years. My started my teaching career teaching pre-k for several years. Through my career span, I have also taught second grade, fourth grade, and sixth grade. As a stay at home mom, I started tutoring to stay involved in education while still being able to care for (and teach!) my own children. I enjoy all ages and get a great sense of satisfaction helping students to succeed in learning!

I feel every student has the capacity to learn and feel confident about learning. My job is to find strategies that work for the individual and provide patience and an interactive learning environment. I have a strong sense of commitment to education.
