About Me
I'm 20 years old. I attended wayne-state-university">Wayne State University Fall 2011 to Winter 2013 and currently attending oakland-university">Oakland University since Fall 2014. My major is in Biological Science.
I have tutored several students over the years. During my high school years I tutored students in elementary and middle school for volunteer work. During several lunch periods in high school I also helped out special needs students along side their teachers. Towards my senior year I did some private detroit">tutoring for concerned parents in my neighborhood. Once I got to college I did detroit">tutoring for volunteer work for the organizations I was part of. During my Sophomore and Junior year I was a team leader for my biology courses and was a private detroit">tutor on the side. As a team leader I was in charge of working with the professor and covering materials discussed in class and on exam. Although that class has ended, I still continue to detroit">tutor friends, family, and peers.
I have learned from experience that one-on-one method, not only helps me, but has proven to help out several other students. Classes can be intimidating which means a student is less likely to ask a question and fully grasp the knowledge. Being able to work with someone who knows the material and is able to explain it in more than one method helps a lot. When I detroit">tutor someone, I make the effort to understand how that student learns best. Some students learn better with visuals, while others may learn better with a more hands on approach. I want the student to feel comfortable and stress free because stress hinders ones capability to learn. I encourage interaction!
