Fun Facts

I have played four instruments in the past but currently only play the acoustic guitar. I also like to write and compose romantic rap songs. Besides music, I also like to draw my friends (with their knowledge of course).

About Me

I am a mechanical engineer who graduated from City College of New York in Dec. 2015. My plans after graduation is to get a job in the mechanical engineering field and get a masters degree in material science and engineering. I wish to also complete a Ph.D in material science and engineering. I want to work my way into a career of developing materials which will allow us to innovate our current technology.

Experience

I have tutored two students in the past. They both needed help in the math category. One student was a fifth grade. The other one was a first year college student. There main issue was the lack of motivation to learn their subject. I helped improve their grades by not only teaching them the subject but also motivating them to do better. In the end, the fifth grader got a 4 out of 4 in his statewide exam. The college student's class performance also greatly improved.

Approach

My approach is simple. I make a mapped out plan on what needs to be done per week optimally. I teach them the subject and provide them with practice problems that attacks all possible type of problems. At the same time, I keep my students motivated by displaying energy and enthusiasm. The worst thing is to make the student feel like they are doing a job. I try to make it so they feel like its fun. So far this method has been a success.
