Fun Facts

I am a student of language, and not just English! I've studied Arabic, Bengali, Hindi, French, Latin and Urdu. Now I'm learning Japanese! I also enjoy cooking, baking and journaling.

About Me

Teaching and learning are my passion. I enjoy taking courses on interesting subjects and sharing what I've learned with others. I have a Bachelors in science/new-york/new-york">Computer Science, a Master's in Education and studied in a PhD program for Reading Education. I also have a CELTA certificate. In my spare time, I like to take language courses and study with language partners! My underlying goal is to develop myself and help others to do the same.

Experience

I have 20 years experience teaching at all different levels, from kindergarten, to elementary school, middle school and high school. I've also taught college students at the maryland">University of Maryland and Princess Nora University in Riyadh. I've worked as an instructor and corporate trainer at Saudi ARAMCO as well! I've developed such a wide range of skills in my 20 years and I'm ready to share what I've learned with the students at FrogTutoring.

Approach

I believe that students learn by doing and by arriving at knowledge through discovery and sharing what they've learned with others. In my experience, spaced repetition also helps students retain what they've learned, especially when it comes to vocabulary and language building. As a student of languages myself, I know that students must have the opportunity to express themselves and learn from their mistakes - the more mistakes the better!
