Fun Facts
When I am not preoccupied with schoolwork and interning, you can find me running- it does wonders for me all around! I'm also a photography enthusiast; you can catch me snapping photographs anytime and anywhere. I have a brother who is 13 years younger, so I have plenty of experience with that age group! Additionally, I graduated high school with my Associate of Arts Degree from Bard College.
About Me
I am currently a rising junior general science major at Fordham University's Rose Hill Campus. Although this is my desired career path, I am also an anthropology minor and am passionate about the social sciences. After graduating, I hope to attend New York University School of Medicine to continue my current pre-medical track. Ultimately, I want to be a dermatologist or a nurse anesthesiologist.
At the beginning of my sophomore year in college, I joined Peer Health Exchange in which I teach a workshop about mental health to Bronx public high school students, giving students the knowledge and skills they need to make healthy decisions. I have experienced training and testing to advance my teaching, communication, and public speaking skills, and attend weekly meetings to further develop.
My high school heavily focused on liberal arts, but when I entered college, I immersed myself in the pre-medical track, which felt much more demanding. However, after consulting with advisors and deans, I started to understand how to manage my time and how to prioritize efficiently. Once I succeeded in doing so, the remainder of my transition progressed very smoothly. I realized there are various resources to take advantage of and that all one needs to do is reach out. As a tutor, I'd like to be that individual for others! I not only intend to teach, but I will also aim to guide students in the right direction, providing prioritization and study tips. In this way, they will both learn and gain insight on how make their own responsible decisions.
