I enjoy playing tennis, basketball, and badminton. Additionally, I like to go bowling, swimming and play pool. I am very interested in crafts such as origami. Furthermore, I like to go sightseeing and museums.

About Me

I am currently attending Palo Alto University for my Master's in counseling Psychology. My current GPA is 3.92. I am finishing up my first year in this program and will also be attending summer session. I expect to graduate in Fall 2015. I graduated from University of California, Davis with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology. After my master's program I will be looking into getting my Marriage and Family Therapist license as well as my Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor license.

Tutoring experience is a valuable experience to have because it allows you to encounter different people at different level and strengths. I have experience with tutoring my younger family members and a few older family members throughout my life. Additionally, I encountered people in the school setting in after school programs that I would help with increasing their grades in school. Furthermore, I tutor my friend’s children who are attending elementary to high school levels.

I believe a strong tutoring approach is essential in a person’s ability to learn. I work with the individual side by side to guide them through this process and continually work on examples to learn through repetition; during these moments patience is a virtue because everyone is at a different level. Moreover, I ask the individual what are some things they did well on and what is something they can work on; then I empathize and provide my feedback.
