Fun Facts
I had completed all of my math courses at CCNY only on A's, but before that I had studied in another university. Basically I didn't understand a single thing about math and had the worse grades ever at the time, but after that I did manage to study to catch up the material and now it's straight A's in my transcript.
About Me
I'm studying at The City College of New York in Mechanical Engineering Major. Approximate year of graduation is 2016. I plan to work after college and I didn't set any career goals, in my opinion a career is mere means, not an end. This fall I'm being awarded Engineering Pella Scholarship. Also couple of societies had invited me to induce as a member in it, but I'm not too much in destructive sects. My leadership skills are acquired from study projects management and a taekwondo instructor experience
I have no tutoring experience besides of helping out to my classmates. Every semester during group studying before finals, some of my fellow students usually run into a misunderstanding of certain concept, or into a complete unawareness of a purpose of a given subject. In such cases generally I'm able to clarify and to establish some sort of a concept about the subject's structure within their perception.
Well, I believe that any system of knowledge ( such as a language, a science/new-york/new-york">computer science, an exact science or a liberal art) has the same structure: establishing the definitions of the basic logical structures and concepts first and then building up a system of relations out of it. In each case of student having a problem with a subject, it means that the basic concepts are unclear. Also I want to emphasize that the necessary part of an education is to provide a part of the full picture of what the subject is doing and why each separate minor part of it is necessary to go over and important. At the same time the big picture should not be given in too much details. The perfect balance is found when the picture is given in an amount just enough to improve the understanding.
